Üks ülimalt mõnus salat, mida sain mekkida Pärnu suurepärases kohvikus Komfek.
Vaja läheb:
4 keskmist kartulit
150-200g suitsupeekonit
ca 200g marineeritud kurki
üks väiksem salatipea (salatisse läheb ca pool)
üks keskmise või suurem suurusega punane sibul
1 dl valge veini äädikat
1 dl vett
1 spl suhkrut
majoneesi
kreeka jogurtit
oreganot
soola, pipart
Kõiki komponente võib muidugi lisada maitse järgi - rohkem kurki, sibulat vms.
Salati tegemist alusta aegsasti.
Head isu!

Baier's salad
You'll need:
4 average size potatoes
150-200 grams of smoked bacon
~200 grams of pickled cucumber
1 smaller cabbage lettuce
1 avarage or bigger red onion
1 dl of white wine vinegar
1 dl of water
1 tbl of sugar
mayonnaise
greek yogurt
oregano
salt&pepper
You can add all of the ingredients according to your preferences - more cucumber, onions etc.
You should start the preparations early, because cooking the potatoes and marinating the onions takes time. Start with cooking the unpeeled potatoes.
When the potatoes are boiling, marinate the onions. For that you'll need to slice the onion into thin slices. Heat up the vinegar and water in a pot until boiling. Add the sugar and stir until it's melted. Take the pot off from the cooker and add onion slices into the fluid. Let the onions season for about an hour.
Slice the cooked potatoes as sectors. Cover a baking tray with a baking paper and lay the potatoes on it. Season the potatoes with oregano and a pinch of salt. Lay the smoked bacon slices next to the potatoes and cook them in the oven (200C, 392F) until the bacon is crispy. You can mix the potatoes in between or take them off from the oven earlier, so they don't get burned. When the potatoes are roasted and the bacon crisp, let them cool a bit.
Slice the cucumber and rip the lettuce into bite size pieces. Add potatoes and bacon (ripped for smaller pieces). Strain the onions and add them to the salad. Mix the salad with greek yogurt and mayonnaise, which you can add according to your preferences. I normally add about 300 grams of yogurt and 80 grams of mayonnaise, but you may prefer more or less one or the other. Season the salad with salt and pepper.
Enjoy your meal!
